  • Retadi Guest House
    Retadi Guest House is situated on the farm Dankbaar, on the outskirts of Patensie. It is ideally situated for visitors to Patensie, the Gamtoos Valley and the Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve! A mere hour’s drive from Port Elizabeth, 45 minutes from St Francis Bay and half and hour from Jeffreys Bay, this luxurious guest house is surrounded by citrus orchards and mountains.
  • The Meadows Farmhouse
    This authentic, restored 125 year-old farmhouse is on The Meadows Farm which is situated on the Klein River Road, approx 3 km from Hankey and 1.3 km from the Hankey Golf Course. It is the perfect place for a country retreat and has all you need for a great relaxing peace-filled holiday.
  • Loerie Ruskamp Campsite
    Loerie Ruskamp has a three star grading and is situated just outside the town of Loerie, en route to Baviaans Kloof via Hankey and Patensie. Self catering accommodation, totalling 74 beds, are provided in various chaletts, rondawels and hostel. A small hall is available for small conferences and parties. The stone bar, with bar license, avialable for music events. This is the ideal venue for large group functions or a number of small groups. Most of the accommodation units are away from each other, making it more private and venues quite different from other venues.
  • De Mist Cottage
    Set in beautiful surroundings on a working Citrus and Vegetable Farm. Come and enjoy farm life in clean fresh air, get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, simply relax with your favourite book in the sun, try your luck with Carp fishing, go for a hike or have a good old "braai" with friends in our private "lapa".
  • Gamtoos B&B
    We are situated in the Gamtoos Valley in the village of Patensie which is the last stop and gateway to the magnificent and undisturbed Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve, a World Heritage site.
  • Midlands Farmhouse
    The guesthouse is situated on the farm. We also have our own Packhouse (Midlands Packhouse) where all fruit is packed and exported to different countries. Guests are welcome to visit the Packhouse during citrus season. The season starts mid-March until mid-September.
  • Bruintjieskraal Campsite
    The Bruintjieskraal Camping Area consist of Sites 1 - 5 grouped together, Sites 7 to 10 forming another group and then sites 11 to 14 at individual locations. Unlees totally in shade the Camp Areas are covered with grass and there is ample shade. Each individual campsite is equipped with:
  • Geelkrans
    Fourteen camp sites await where the Gamtoos River deepens to 11 meters in the ancient embrace of an Enon Conglomerate cliff. Stay over at Geelkrans Campsite while exploring the Baviaans Wilderness area, only 28 km down the road. An Ideal setting for birdwatchers, stargazers, photographers, nature-lovers and casual fishermen.
  • Tia Ghee Tented Camp
    The valley of the Gamtoos River in South Africa's malaria-free Eastern Cape is the western gateway to the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area. Less than one hour's drive from Port Elizabeth and even less from Jeffrey's Bay, a short way from the village of Patensie en route to the Baviaanskloof, there lies a tranquil bush camp in thick indigenous forest offering tented accommodation - Tia Ghee. Tia Ghee is catered and fully equipped so as to make it as straightforward an experience as possible.
  • Highlands Chalets
    Highlands Chalets is situated in Patensie on the route into the Baviaanskloof, making it ideal for a stopover on your way in or out of the Baviaanskloof, thereby maximising your time in the kloof. At the house and available to guests in our chalets is a broad sun deck and patio with a swimming pool. From these are magnificent views over the valley and the mountains. The views alone make Highlands worth staying at.
  • Ripple Hill Hotel
    On the brim of the magnificent Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve, in the heart of the citrus farming community of Patensie, lies the Ripple Hill Hotel. Built in 1946, the hotel carries an old school charm and character with raised ceilings and wooden floors throughout.
