Pabala Private Nature Reserve

Pabala Private Nature Reserve is situated in the malaria-free Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Pabala is nestled in the Loerie district, located between the Garden Route coastal road and Baviaans Kloof Mega Park Reserve, about 30km from Jeffrey’s Bay’s famous beaches.

Guests have various accommodation options to choose from.

COUNTRY HOUSE: The Country House is a modern contemporary African Homestead, offering the perfect private setting for family gatherings and large groups reconnecting, family, friends, nature and you. The setting provides breathtaking views and especially of the Gamtoos estuary flowing into the Indian Ocean. The Country House sleeps 12 (5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms) 3 bedrooms on suite and 2 bedrooms to share bathrooms. Communal areas includes the kitchen, lounge, dining room, indoor braai and large scenic outside wooden deck with braai facilities.

STONE COTTAGE: The ideal game farm stay offering luxurious yet rustic self-catering 3 bedroom (sleeps 5) accommodation away from the hustle and bustle. The Stone Cottage has an open plan kitchen and living area. Although we are self-catering, we do offer a variety of home grown farm produce and meals.

FARMYARD COTTAGE: The rustic two bedroom cottage has an open plan kitchen/lounge area opening onto a veranda overlooking Pabala Private Nature Reserve and Cockscomb Mountain Range.

PERMANENT FURNISHED TENTED BUSH CAMP (6 x twin tents with single beds) and (3 x family tents with four single beds each). The permanent furnished tents are nestled in the bush and we offer guests the opportunity to experience the African bush under canvas. The camp is modelled on the heyday of exploration, a golden era when adventure lay around every corner.

CAMPSITE: Pabala Tented Bush Camp also has five camp sites. The whole is furnished with an ablution block, communal kitchen and Lapa area with boma. The camp area is grass terraced and has been left as natural as possible. The property is game fenced and provides safe parking for vehicles.
