Enjoy the beautiful Gamtoos River Valley, the gateway to the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area. Visit the Kouga Dam and country coffee shops, art and craft shops and restaurants. For trips deep into the Baviaanskloof and Grootrivier Poort, vehicles with high wheel clearance are advised.
Patensie is about 80 km from the friendly city, Port Elizabeth, and 50 km from Jeffrey’s Bay and beach areas. The popular Hankey Golf Club is only 15 minutes’ drive away. In Hankey one can also visit the resting place of the renowned Sarah Baartman, Philip’s Irrigation Tunnel and the Sundial.
