The Gamtoos Valley has become a very popular tourist destination with many B&B's self-catering and camping establishments, as well as fuel-stops, banks and shops to choose from. It is also the Southern Gateway to the Baviaanskloof Wildernes Area.

Patensie is on Route 331 to the Baviaanskloof. Archers Guesthouse is the perfect overnight stay before travelling into the rugged Baviaanskloof, or leaving it.

  • InniKloof Campsite
    InniKloof is located in the secluded Honey Clough valley on the eastern side of the Baviaans Mega Reserve and the Garden Route. Our campsite is a large grass-covered area surrounded by indigenous trees. We are constantly adding to the list of activities by expanding the hiking trails and coordinating with our neighbouring establishments to offer motorcycle and mountainbike routes.

    We are situated in the Gamtoos Valley in the village of Patensie which is the last stop and gateway to the magnificent and undisturbed Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve, a World Heritage site.
  • Loerie Ruskamp Campsite
    Loerie Ruskamp has a three star grading and is situated just outside the town of Loerie, en route to Baviaans Kloof via Hankey and Patensie. Self catering accommodation, totalling 74 beds, are provided in various chaletts, rondawels and hostel. A small hall is available for small conferences and parties. The stone bar, with bar license, avialable for music events. This is the ideal venue for large group functions or a number of small groups. Most of the accommodation units are away from each other, making it more private and venues quite different from other venues.
  • Pabala Game Farm
    Pabala Game Farm is situated in the malaria-free Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Pabala is nestled in the Loerie district, located between the Garden Route coastal road and Baviaans Kloof Mega Park Reserve, about 30km from Jeffrey’s Bay’s famous beaches.
